Patrons Needed…

It occured to me the other day that for all that I write about the saints  we have not placed this blog under the spiritual patronage of any of our particular friends in heaven.

I am a fan of martyr confessors, and Saint Joseph will certainly be our primary patron – he did everything I ever aspire to do – loved Our Savior, protected Our Lady & Christ in the womb, saw the Pyramids, died a righteous death, fights spiritually against communism, fights spiritually for workers, protects fathers, Canada, Italy, Korea, Peru, Mexico, Sioux Falls, Lexington and wheelwrights.  What is not to love about the man?  Blessed is he among men.

So many to ask the friendship of…  And under what title we will address Our Lady?  Oh this is no small matter.

Any suggestions?

UPDATE:  Ss. Joseph & Saint Gianna Beretta Molla have been chosen as our first patrons…  Icons have been commissioned.  Who should we add from there?  Certainly, we appreciate all the saintly friendship we can get.

For personal reasons I like St. Joseph because he is the patron saint of workers, fathers, and families. My personal bias.

This may sound a bit obvious but what about St. Maximillion Kolbe? He is the patron saint of the media! Being the patron saint of this blog is a natural!

    Suggestions? Absolutely!
The Three Massabki Brothers, Martyrs at Damascus, feast day on July 10.
I have entrusted the Religious Education program at my parish to them.

St. Isidore of Seville is the patron saint of the internet.

  4. St. Crispin–sure it’s a stretch, but since black cordelias are a kind of shoe and he is the patron of shoemakers…

    Domina Nostra a Lepanto
