Dang. The video is gone. What was the song, and what was the substance of the mention of the Rosary?
(P.S. I said the Haily Mary for his soul.)
The Thief on the cross was a heretic. That day he was in Heaven with Christ.
Jesus owns Heaven.
I found Mr. Presley’s song here:
I have been a Presley fan since the 1950’s, and had no idea he sang a Catholic song.
Thank you for posting it.

My dad and all his family were heretics. Like Elvis, I hope they made it.
The Good thief was not a heretic, but simply just a thief. In fact, he could not have been a heretic as Catholicism did not yet exist at the time of the passion. He believed in a future Redeemer, which, ironically, had become present to him in a time of strife. Did not Christ say to Dismas, “this day you will be with me in paradise”? Dismas in no way counteracted this statement, and we may safely conclude that Dismas was at least familiar with the old law. But enough of this.
As to the Inquisition -as with the death penalty- it is completely justifiable, and, indeed, serves a holy purpose. More then one canonized pope and saints have supported the juridical, ecclesiastical, institution. A reading of the Catholic scholar Walsh will supply one with a sufficient understanding of the Inquisition. We personally see no problem with Billy Graham being put to an inquisitorial trial. As a point of law, his heresy is manifest, perpetual, and unapologetic.

“…The Good thief was not a heretic,… “this day you will be with me in paradise”…
On their way to Egypt, according to the Mystics of Holy Mother Church, the Holy Family was given rest by a robber chief.
His child was covered with boils, so the Holy Mother instructed a handmaiden to pour the bathwater of Jesus over the child.
Jesus cured this child’s physical ailments.
Jesus met the son of the robber chief again, at Calvary.
This time He cured His soul.
To be with Jesus, our Divine Master, is Paradise.

Pope saint Gregory the Great prayed a damned soul out of Hell, much to God’s chagrine.
God told him to not do it again.
If God had mercy on Mr. Presley, by all means let us pray for him and all the Souls in Purgatory.

There is a statue of the Sacred Heart near Elvis’ grave at Graceland.
Heresy is the obstinate post-baptismal denial of a dogma of the Catholic Church. Was Elvis ‘obstinate’ — Most people understand ‘obstinacy’ in this context as refusing to be correct by the competent authorities: bishops/holy office. Did Elvis ever get called to Rome to discuss his theology? A private meeting with the Bishop of Memphis to discuss ecclesiastic matters?
Please stop damning people to Hell. Leave that to the Lord above
recently we had a funeral for a friend of the family. while he was alive he was a great fan of Elvis. At his funeral the priest said ”and if elvis really is dead, I wonder what party peice fra would have prepared when he meets him.”

Blessed Pius IX: The following indifferentist errors are condemned.
16. Man may, in the observance of any religion whatever, find the way of eternal salvation, and arrive at eternal salvation. — Encyclical “Qui pluribus,” Nov. 9, 1846.
17. Good hope at least is to be entertained of the eternal salvation of all those who are not at all in the true Church of Christ. — Encyclical “Quanto conficiamur,” Aug. 10, 1863, etc.
The Church does not prays for the souls of non-Catholics after their death, though she does do so in their lives, so that they might become Catholics.
