“Blessed are they who are persecuted for the sake of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are you when they insult you and persecute you and utter every kind of evil against you (falsely) because of me.Rejoice and be glad, for your reward will be great in heaven. Thus they persecuted the prophets who were before you.” (Matthew 5: 10-12)
This clip begins with the young Catholics on the left of the screen praying the rosary and standing in physical defense of the Cathedral to prevent vandalism by a large group of angry feminists on the right of the screen who taunt, jeer, spit on, ridicule, and insult them. Sound familiar? Notice the serenity and strength and goodness on the one side and the hysterical vileness on the other. The Father of Lies and Our Father in Heaven are clearly at war in this scene. This very vivid moment in the war between the Gospel of Life and the Culture of Death is positively biblical.
As we get ready for Respect Life Sunday/Week, we should ask ourselves “How am I taking a visible stand for life.”

“Rejoice, you heavens, and you who dwell in them. But woe to you, earth and sea, for the Devil has come down to you with great fury, for he knows that his time is short.” Apocalypse 12:12
Thanks for the comment, Padre. It does seem apocalyptic, doesn’t it?
